On behalf of Mercedes-Benz, we went to Morocco, to the seaport of Essaouira, to meet Mohamed El Bacha and his faithful companion. His companion is over 40 years old, has covered several million kilometers, and goes by the type designation Mercedes-Benz 240 D. For over 25 years, Mohamed and his “Slash 8” have been traveling together on the sandy roads of Morocco to transport passengers from point A to point B.
